Bow Down (Thy Kingdom Come)
June 9 @ 9:00 pm - 9:15 pm
United in prayer. United in purpose.
A guy called Karl Barth said, “To clasp our hands in prayer is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world.”
So next weekend on Pentecost Sunday we are going leave our church buildings and gather on Market Hill, outside St Peter’s Church with other local Christians to pray God’s light on our town and surrounding villages. We would love to join us!
Arrive ready to start for 9pm promptly. We will pray for just 15 minutes, but we believe it will be a significant 15 minutes in God’s purposes for Sudbury and the surrounding areas in Stour Valley.
Bring a cushion or chair, along with a torch (your phone). You will also be given a special Bow Down prayer sheet on arrival.
To begin our time will pray in small groups. At 9.15, we all will come together, hold our torches up and pray God’s light to come and shine over our community and country. We will be joining one of just many similar Bow Down prayer events happening all over the UK, as part of the Thy Kingdom Come prayer initiative.
Meanwhile, check out the inspirational interview with Peter Grieg (founder of 24-7 Prayer) with John and Debby Wright (Vineyard UK & Ireland National Directors).
And if you’re still wavering whether you’re going to come or not, consider this. There has never been a spiritual awakening in any place that did not start with united prayer. Neither did it start without personal sacrifice.
Bow Down is your invitation to step up for Jesus to step in.
See you there!
